Kelly's journey in healthcare began with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing, earned from the University of North Dakota in December 1998. She graduated summa cum laude with an impressive GPA of 3.72/4.0. Building on her expertise, she pursued a Masters of Science Degree in Family Nurse Practitioner from the same institution in May 2011.
With a strong background in Dermatology and Aesthetics, Kelly has made a significant impact in the field. As a Nurse Practitioner at Grand Forks Dermatology & Aesthetics and previously at Truyu Dermatology, Kelly provides comprehensive patient care to patients of all ages.
She skillfully performs patient interviews, physical exams, and diagnostic tests to identify differential diagnoses, develop treatment plans, and perform procedures such as shave, punch, and excisional biopsies, ED&C for superficial skin cancers, and inject Botox and Dermal fillers for cosmetic patients.
Additionally, Kelly incorporates evidence-based research into her practice, ensuring her patients receive the most effective and up-to-date treatments.
Kelly's earlier clinical experience has helped hone her patient care skills and incorporated evidence-based research into her practice. Before her specialization in Dermatology and Aesthetics, Kelly worked as a Registered Nurse at the Plastic Surgery Institute and Laser Advantage, performing cosmetic procedures, such as laser treatments, botox injections, and dermal filler procedures.
Outside of her professional life, Kelly enjoys traveling and spending time at the lake cabin. She cherishes quality time with her family, especially her husband and twin girls.
